As many atv riders know there are several brands of atvs like Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and so on but i have never seen a Cannondale atv. yes i have heard people talk about them but i really have no clue why the brand really isn't advertised. Any info on a Cannondale home website would be greatly appreciated along with any information; even though I'm not interested in buying one i would still like to know a little about this atv brand. Thanks

To tell the truth I'm surprised that the new owner of Cannondale, ATK; would really take off with there new race ready 450's. They even have Ohlins shocks  They seem to me a very good deal for a first time racer or someone who doesn't like the thrill of buying your own after market items. ATK as of right now has 2 atv's one is in the 7000 range and the other is almost 12,000. but i guess you get what you pay for.

name brand? well last i knew cannondale and atk were true race quads too?[/b]
Yeah good point, they are indeed true race quads, but what i meant was you could buy a honda, kawi, yam or zuki stock. Turn it into a moded race quad and have a way better resale value then cannondale or atk. plus i have no idea where any dealer is around my place anyway. i think i used "Name Brand" in the wrong context and i really mean a major factory not saying atk isn't a major factory its just the honda kawi or suzuki are IMO more easily recognized by more riders.

I have a 2002 cannondale moto and my dad and i were very involved with the cannondale. When i got it it was damn near bulletproof and deffinatley the fastest bike around, and by far it was very very popular. The reason they filed for bankruptcy was because their bank forced them into it or else they would still be around and they would be dominating. But their not and i can not wait to get a kfx 450 soon. The parts for them are kind of hard to find but you just have to take your time and kinda know were to look.

I am no expert but Cannondale was too highly priced for the average trail rider. Even the Blaze or Cannibal or Speed ( I dont remember which was the cheapest) was still high 7's at a time when a 400EX or Raptor was high 5's low 6's. Cannodale was aimed at MX and MX alone which turned into their own downfall. I never rode the quad but I did ride 2 of their bikes. They made awsome power and had the benefit of electric start. But their bikes were not without problems either. Thay had alot of problems with vapor locking and were on the heavy side comparably.
