Trail tech spedo location

Hey yall, I got the recommended trail tech vapor kit from trail tech tech support and trying to install it where they say to install it at but it's not fitting. It sits way too low. Can someone show me the route you took with installing the sensor please!

Here's a comparison.. Notice where the sensor cable goes into the sensor..

Mine cable enters where your thumb is in your picture...!!!

Can you find a small piece of flat plastic to cut & use as a spacer about 5/16" in size
