Hey guys, i have a set of Stage 1 kx450 hot cams, stage 2 kfx450 hot cams, and stage 3 kfx450 hot cams. I decided not to use the stage 3 cams until i go with a high compression piston. I read that stage 1 kx450 cams are equivalent to stage 2 kfx450 hot cams. I'm not sure if they actually mean that there is the same exact performance gain with the kx450f stg 1 hotcams and the kfx450 stg 2 hotcams. Does anyone know if there is a difference between these cams. Im not sure if i should keep the kx hot cams in the KFX or swap them out from the stg 2 kfx450 hot cams. Thanks!

The kx 1 And kfx 2

Are the exact same camA

I would just install the stage 3. Unless you just slow trail ride you want notice much of a bottom loss at all

Even on a stock motor? I hear the loss of bottom end is so large that only guys with big bore and or stroker motors do it.

The stage 3 isn’t very big.

Now If you throw in some big webcams then yes you will have an issue.

I went with the stage 2 and barely notice more top end.
Wish I had gone stage 3
