I have seen some guys running soda can covers on their reserviors. I want to make some monster can ones for my 450 but can't find any info on how. I'll probaly just go and figure it out in the garage, but I was wondering if any of you made some before.

If you come up with something be sure to post some pics and some info. that sounds like an affordable trick mod. Something different.

step 1: take a can of your choice and drink it
step 2: riinse it out with water
step 3: with tin snips cut it down the back side so that you do not disrupt the logo
step 4: test fit and mark where you would need to cut the botom and top so that it cover the entire reservoir
step 5: cut the back so that your not overlapping the can
step 6: Optional I used clear silicon as glue to hold it in place and then zip tied them

When my green KFX450 comes in I will be using green Monster cans

Thanks topdollr, but with all the energy I got from drinking my monster I went out and did it myself lol. I did it a bit differently.
1.Drink it
2.Cut out top of the can (the silver part only)
3.Slide it over the reservoir
4.Look if it hits anywhere and cut or dent the can where needed
5.Poke holes in the top-front and top-back of the can
6.Put zip ties through the holes and around the part of the reservoirs that connects it to shock
7.Make sure it does not hit the a-arms at anypart of the suspensions travel.

This method uses the whole can which in turn makes it larger looking, but they might get dented up <_< We'll see how it goes.

My total cost was about 5 or 6 bucks, so it is cheap. And they have'nt dented too bad yet. Just little dings you can't notice until you really look for them.
