Hello All,
This is dry gasket, so I am wondering if I need to also use any gasket maker on it as well. Can anyone shed some light if the large gasket (water pump rebuild kit) is ok to install as-is OR should I put some gasket maker on it? (all around or just in the corners)

Thanks in Advance!

The problem with gasket makers is that when the cases are bolted together little balls of gasket stuff gets squeezed into the inside of the engine and when they break off can clog your oil screens Just a thought

I just completed a water pump rebuild and I went with Dust Devil and used a small (very small) bead all around the gasket and circles the bolt holes. Sealed good for me. As far as " little balls of gasket stuff gets squeezed into the inside of the engine and when they break off can clog your oil screens", I agree and this is probably true however if you keep your screens clean, its better than having a oil or coolant leak. My 2 cents.
