Looking for a custom tune for my procom.

I have Procom ECU, FCI, and Full DASA exhaust.

Thanks!

Maps 7-9 usually work great.

If you ever get cams i have a map for that setup.

So a custom tune won't work better than 7-9?

A dyno tune is better but if one if the presets is close that's what most stick with.

Problem is nobody really tunes for the procom. If you took it to a shop they probably would want you to switch to a power commander.

my problem is I don't really notice a difference between 7, 8, or 9

Whats some other things I should do for more power, smoother running, or just to save my butt. I just ordered a Moose case saver to prevent the case from any damage. Any other things?

I'd run map 7 then.

A jeep coil is a great upgrade.

And most of us switch the front sprocket to s 15t once we have the big three

what do you mean by jeep coil? Also a 15 tooth will give it more top speed correct? If so that will make it even harder to ride at slow speeds on steep inclines?

Ya a 15t will make more top end. If you ride a lot of steep hills just leave it stock.

Do a search. A jeep coil is a way better coil than the stock coil.

Most use accel 140021 and the harness adapter

Brappp was selling them. Not sure if he still is but you can pm him.

The coil is 50 bucks, the harness is another 25.

Then you need a small piece of metal to Angle and the front of the coil down so it doesn't hit the radiator. Plus a different boot to hook up to the coil.

I will pm him. I noticed you have a msd coil. Is that a jeep coil just a msd instead of an accel? If so is the msd better? Any other things I should do to prevent issues?

The accel is better. I have the msd jeep coil because it's the only one they sell in California.

A tps adapter is a good thing to have. It's only 20 bucks. Also if you do any hard riding at all you will want a better swing arm skid. Prm makes the best ones.

What is the throttle positioning sensor adapter for? Also mine always seems to start hard. There is no way you would ever get it started with a kick starter. Any ideas?

When you say swing arm skid you mean the guard underneath it correct?

ya the swing arm guard is underneath.

this is the one run by a lot of us.

KAWASAKI KFX450R SWINGARM SKID PLATE .250 Thick / KFX450 REAR SKID PLATE 1/4"
they offer other thicknesses as well.

the jeep coil makes starting so much easier.

you also might need to mess with idle knob.

i have mine set at 18 clicks out. but i would try 22 first.

go all the way counterclockwise then go clockwise 22 clicks. the idle knob also pulls out which helps some guys with cold starts.

the tps adapter makes it super easy to adjust the tps. if your tps is out of range it will not start good either.

so you think my hard starting problem has to be either my TPS adjustment or the stock coil?

Could be combination of both. Also check valve clearances, but those rarely go out of spec on these bikes

How reliable is this jeep coil? Will it cause problems down the road with the piston? Do you have to change to a different spark plug? Right now I run 93 pump gas

No issues with the efi system. I run an iridium plug and it works great. It's more reliable than the stock coil
