I still have one. I have owned 4 of them over the last few years. This one has some stuff done. Weisco piston, I ported the cylinder myself...runs ok. It has some carbonfiber reeds in the stock cage. Keihin 39PWK with a Uni Filter. In the pics, there is a FMF pipe, but I just got a new one...Sprock Racing..works finish. Up front it has a set of custom built +3 Arms with some Works Shocks. Durablue +4 axle out back and once I get the new 450, those rear wheels and tires will go on this one. (Lonestar Racing Billet Hubs with a Honda Bolt Pattern). Other small items here and there. Here are some pics of it over the last couple years. Trails, Hillclimbs, Drags...even had it out on the MX track before. Just an all around fun Quad. The topend is spent right now...>120lb of compression. Lots of hours...HARD hours. Soon as the new 450 is here, this one will get tore down, and completely rebuilt. Fresh PC/paint, new 350cc bigbore kit to go with the new pipe and the back end bushing/bearings replaced. Just replaced EVERYTHING up front this past summer.

nice man I got a 88 tecate that I bought like 6 years ago and it had been haning from the rafters in my shop since then, the bike was used and abused . but it did ran. upon taking a closer inspection of it I discoverec that someone actually tried to weld the case back together by the counter balancer The bike is now going thru a complete overhaul. I just powdercoated the frame , and stock long travel A-arms and a bunch of other stuff. the front end was actually still pretty tight considering the age. most of the bearings just needed a grease job.

I just ordered a RPM axle for it, rad taper carrier Herrmann racing +2 anti vibe stem with fat bar clamp. it also has a FMF pipe., Scored a nice clean set of engine case off ebay for 75 bucks. Hopefully real soon some +2 +1 a-arms which I think are only available from Burgard and Herrmann racing. Also looking for Nerfs any suggestions?

I am in the hunt for a good clean swingarm, rear brake lever, seat brackets front fender brackets, rear disc and sprocket hubs, and im sure more to come

Do you know if Mojave axle parts fit ? also I know Honda wheel hubs fit the bike. and the 400ex disc hub fits but im not sure about the offset?

just answer thislol, a stcok for stock tecate vs banshee the tecates smoke banshees. really the only thing that can beat them if there pumped up is a high mod 450 trick out shee or a 500. (in a drag) the 86 tecate-3s are still to this day the quickest bike (atv) out there besides the incrediably rare tiger500... but sprock racing is king when it comes to tecates, i also have a tecate4
