Has anybody heard when and how much the kick starter option is going to be? I know I got my 04 YFZ in late May of 03 and had to wait until January of 04 to get a hold of one of the GYTR kits (which wasn't a well thought out system and wouldn't recommend it to anyone). And I bought my LTR450 last Febuary and now its been a year and Suzuki still doesn't offer a kick starter kit to the public even though Suzuki reps were saying that a kit would be offered shortly after the bikes release. I read somewhere that Kawi was going to offer this option at its release but haven't heard anything about any accessories being offered when the bike is released in a few weeks. Anybody have any info on the kick starter kit or any aftermarket Kawi accessories?

I don't know about the KFX450 Kick start option but Cernics Racing is making kick start kits for the LTR450.

Kawasaki already has a kick start available. They have a part number and photos of it. It will retail for just under $300.00. It is not available yet, but very soon.

No not yet. I have one on order so we will see. As long as you can remove the electric starter and batter it should save alot of weight.

Finally got a chance to get my kicker on today.
It does start 1st klick every time but with the IMS heel guards on the kicker
cannot fit where it should on my boot. I have to use my heel to kick it as
my boot hit the heel guard about 1/4 kick into the stroke. I'll have to
deal with it as I like the quickness for dead engine XC.

May look into a shorter DB kicker also.

Anyone else having issues?

i think fuel is the only other one i know with a kicked. hummm look into a shorter db kicker and see if that helps. I know the yfz is using a 98 yz250 kicker, idk if that helps but i thought i would throw it out
