Ok I need some help so around September 2015 i bought a 2009 KFX450R Monster Energy Edition has a modquad intake system air filter and a power commander V so everything was fine for a while then late 2015 I was riding it and it just died in the woods I thought it was out of gas so I went and put gas in it and nothing so I towed it back to my house and after a couple weeks I self diagnosed it and found out my fuel injector blew so i unplugged the Power commander V and plugged the stock FI back in and it worked fine so then I was riding it again and noticed it was feeling very hot I stopped and looked down and my tailpipe was smoking from a oil leak I did not know where it was coming from. I did ride it a few times more with the leak but not for more than a hour or 2 so eventually I decided to do some trial and error I Opend up the cylinder head took the cover off and noticed there was some oil pools in the head wasn't sure if that was supposed to be there but I drained the oil put new in still nothing so I buy a new cover along with a cover gasket new O rings for under the bolts. So i started it up and it was still smoking but I figured it was just old oil still on the pipe so I found this foam degreaser and put it on my engine so if I did still have the leak I could see it so I take it for a ride and stop the quad and notice its still leaking my clutch cover was covered in oil it seems to be coming from the mid of the cylinder head but not sure. Any help is appreciated
PS sorry to write a book but I want this problem gone
Ok I tried to take pictures of where I thought it was leaking from and circled where it was leaking and leaking from let me know if you need more pictures
Also DustDevil, The seap hole you circled on your picture it is bubbling from that hole Its either coming from there or the gasket I circled in black on my pictures on the cylinder head
I know for a fact the gasket on the spark plug is out. My tailpipe never has smoke come out but Ill smell it to see if it has a coolant smell to it the only thing that smoked was my head pipe. Also if I wanted to change the oil how much should go in it says 1.35 completely dry but I was never so sure about that.
Alright Im going to throw that in tomorrow and hopefully that will fix my problem.
