Ok I got to ride the quad for 5 hrs yesterday at the Badlands some sand, but mostly trails for the break in. I am 6'3" and the bike felt like a YFZ450 alot. I will be getting lower foot pegs. The thing pulls hard and doesn't quit. Lots of torque. I love the motor and the reverse is so easy to use and quick. After the first time it was a no brainer and I used it automaticly when needed.
The shocks were not set up right someone had all the adjustments full hard and it beat me to death in the whoops. I made some adjustments and got it feeling real comfortable in the woods and rough trails. Once I get the shocks dialed in this thing will be awesome.
The bike went where you pointed it like it was on rails and cornered awesome not tippy at all. The stock Dunlap tires worked real good and gripped well but I will still be putting my Razr's on it when my Hipers get here.
The starting with the EFI was different and I have to get used to it. It was a little slow at the start but got better as the engine started breaking in. You have to let it start before hitting the thumb throttle at all or it will just crank. The quad will even be bettter with a pipe.
A couple things I didn't like was the owners manual doesn't cover shock adjustment it says to take it to a dealer for adjustments. The tool kit has no blade screwdriver to make adjustments with. The plastic belly skid is a little better then nothing.
The quad has a low fuel light that tells you when you are down to .5 galon of fuel which I like alot but was a little dim in the sunlight yesterday it was not as bright as the other lights, Probably a loose connection or weak bulb.
This quad was very well thought out and built right. Kawie didn't waste money on parts most people will change anyways. The rear grab bar is a nice aluminum one that I will be keeping.
The seat was better then the YFZ but not as plush as the Z400 my butt is a little sore after 5 hrs, but the quad felt comfortable stock and was not awkward at all.
There will be some parts I will be changing due to my preferance and riding style but I really like it.
I will get to do some jumping this weekend and make some more shock adjustments....Then Sunday is race time WhooooHoooo.
