ebay KFX450

anyone else with any other dealers?[/b]

The ad says they have them at their dealership in PA. "This machine is available for viewing in our showroom." I'm thinking it's bullshit.

Sean

***EDIT*** Anyone have an ebay account to ask the seller if he's actually got them in stock? (I refuse to deal with ebay).

I looked at the ad on Ebay and there is alot of dealers selling all kinds of quads this way.

They can't have one on the showroom for viewing unless they are letting you view the pictures on their computer. They are not out yet!!!!!!

What these dealers want is your deposits, then they will get your quad to you when they come availible. It may not be until summer and people will wait to avoid loosing their deposit.

The quantitys are limited to each dealer for the first few months, like 1 per dealer in March, 1 in April and more after that.

I used a local dealer that I have used for quite a while. I ordered their 1st one and they now have 5 ordered, 4 people after me will be waiting a little longer.

As far as the price in the Ebay ad, when you add the fees they list Doc fee, Dealer prep fee, and you pay the taxes due the price is about list or more. I got my non race ready 46" wide out the door for less than list at the local dealer with the taxes paid.
All I need now is skid plates, kill switch, and nerfs and I am ready to race X/C......Whoo Hooo

Happy Birthday to ME, Happy Birthday to ME! Haaappy Birthdaaay dear SpeedBump, Happy Birthday to MEEEE!!!

Well, it's not actually my BIRTHDAY, but it will be right around the time the new 450s start showing up. (2-3weeks) I put my money down on mine today. I am behind 3 other guys. He said one of them wants a Black one, and one wants white, so I actually get the 2nd GREEN one!! :w00t:

Sorry for my little self-centered opening, but I am REALLY excited about this! ;)
Money Down!

Money Down Close-up!

I just called the guy from the Ebay ad you guys were talkin about. They answered, but couldn't talk at the time. It was a woman, and she said the other guy will call me back...we'll see. (15 minutes and counting.....) I live relatively close (about 1 1/2 hours) to the supposed dealer and IF they have one...(they don't, I'm sure) I will drive on over tomorrow and snap a DISGUSTING amount of pictures.

On to prices....when I dropped off my deposit, we talked about pricing. Kawasaki of Indiana will be selling theirs for List.... $7299. Black will be $200 more. No setup charges, No shipping charges, just tax and registration. To me, it doesn't really matter the price at this time.... a few hundred buck here or there....is it really worth it? I have been dealing with this same dealer for years and they will be doing all my service work, so I'm content to just buy from them at the MSRP and ride happy!

Ok, good news. The guy from Ebay is legit...from what I can tell.... His name is Jason and he works at Woodward Yamaha/Honda/Kawasaki near Lewistown, PA. He called me back not more than 2 minutes after posting my reply. They do NOT have a 450 yet. He made a mistake in the listing. He used a TEMPLATE that they use for other ATV auctions and FORGOT to change a few things...namely the part about being able to view one at the dealership.

His prices are interesting. I will be talking to my dealer. When I said about the few 100 bux difference NOT being a big deal...it was just that... a few 100. At the MSRP price with tax and fees...The OTD price will be about $7900. Jason's price..after set-up, tax, fees and everything else...$7677. Now, that is only a few 100, but he said he would ALSO toss in some other things. merchandise and such. Off the top of his head, the first 2 services on the ATV for free. Now, I am not committing to him, but he has me thinking now. He has NO depostis down at the moment, and has a dozen 450s ordered. His should be showing up in March as well. I'll keep you all posted about the pricing, even if I decide to just buy from my original dealership. Later.

Hey Speedbump I ordered mine in Indiana and beat $7400 out the door with taxes paid and have the first one to my dealer. The dealers will bargain when you bring a cash deposit in. Call around to dealers and ask for there best out the door price. I was talking to 4 dealers and got 3 good prices but went for the dealer with the best price and included a parts discount...Good luck

He may have a dozen ordered, but the dealership won't be getting more than four at a time on any shipment for at least the first two to three months of production. So it will be at least three months (probably more) before that dealership sees a total of twelve bikes coming through. This info comes from a regional Kawi sales rep.....

Yep, I am aware of how they get shipped. I am a Driver for FedEx Freight. (not the little trucks that go to your house..full size semi) and we deliver ALOT of Suzuki ATVs and Bikes. This release of the new Kaw should be nearly the same as the LT450. I started dropping off 1 new LT every couple days for the first week, then 3-4 every few days and by the 3rd or 4th week, hit and miss on what was coming in. The rush was over, and you could find them at any dealer. I hope things go as well with the supply of these new ones.

I guess I should have worded my statement a bit differently... "His should be showing up in March as well." "His should START showing in March as well."
