It's official Kawasaki is taking orders for the first batch from Jan 29th-Feb 12 and are limited quantitys to each dealer. Delivery in March sometime. Price is $7399 for green or white and $7599 for black. :D

It was $200 more than i expected the price to be, but for $300 for reverse and EFI it is worth it to me over the YFZ and the TRX. I made my deal today and got out the door for less than list and a 15% parts discount..........Now I Can't Wait To Ride It!!!!!!

prey2none,
Where did you get pricing? I called my local Kawasaki dealers today and no one had pricing. All they allowed me to do was put down a refundable $100 deposit so that I'm on the waiting list when they finally show up.

Where are you located if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Mesa, AZ. One of my dealers (there are about 10 within 50 miles of my home) says he has 80 on order but doesn't know how many he'll actually get. He claims he's the largest Kawasaki dealer in the US (Kelly's Kawasaki).

I'd really like to be able to negotiate a price BEFORE it gets here. There could be short supply or huge demand or both which would mean I'd end up paying list price (which I'm sure everyone would like to avoid).

Don't get me wrong, it's just that we have no idea how the KFX will compare to the LTR or the YFZ and since it's a new year model.....well, to me, it may not be worth the extra grand I'd have to spend if I have to pay list for it when I can get the LTR or YFZ for under $7K out the door.

Hi Shawn I am in northern Indiana. I have been talking to 3 dealers and they all told me that Kawasaki will take orders on Jan 29th to Feb 12. On the 30th I went to a dealer and he pulled the pricing info off a dealer memo that came out that morning to varify the prices before I put down a deposit. All the dealers thought that it would be limited to 1 per dealer for the initial release then more to follow. I was looking to get 2 for racing but have to sell the YFZ and a couple other toys before I can get another. Another dealer that I use still tells me there not taking orders until April.

I brought cash in for the deposit and negotiated the price off what I saw on the dealer memo. I have seen offers to put deposits down without a firm price but I said no way , it leaves you too open.
As far as it being more expensive than the YFZ or LTR for me $400 for reverse and EFI is worth it. I race a YFZ450 in X/C and with the KFX being so close spec wise and having those features I felt it was worth the extra money...hope this helps.... :D

Ya, that was very helpful. I'm going to call my dealer today and see about negotiating a price since it's been released in that memo. I totally agree.....the way they're doing it now, I'm probably leaving myself wide open to getting screwed at full list when it does come in. Besides.....I'm 11th on the waiting list.

I appreciate the help.
