Hey new here, I got a kfx 450 and was curious about the best gearing, I want the stock 38 in the rear but don’t know about front. I rode the dunes with the original 14 gear and it ran great no problems but I also like trail riding in the woods and don’t know if I should get a 13 or a 12 as a new front sprocket pls help

I run the 14 in the trails mostly and it is nice for it. I usually use the first 3 gears in the tighter stuff and the wider open trails the top 2.

I'm liking 14/38, for dunes, and trail riding. May depend on performance mods though. I think if you at least have the big 3 done then the 14/38 should be pretty good. If running stock intake still then maybe adding a tooth or 2 to the rear might be a better option, so your not giving up low end power as much.
