I got 2 of the 3 damages on mine as well. Skidplate got wasted (not as badly as yours) on the first ride. Lost the same bolt from the heel guard too. Looks like ya smacked a tree with the bumper? I bet you aren't real peeved...cause ya just wanna buy a new aftermarket one anyway! :banana:

A buddy of mine was trying to spin in some mud and hit a tree. The upper bracket broke when trying to straighten it back out.
The rear skid didnt like the rocks in the trails around here.

Nice buddy. It sux worse when someone else wrecks your stuff. I'm hearing if your gonna ride woods you better put under body armor on first. You don't want to damage the aluminum frame.

Seems crazy :crazy: but less than and 2 hours ago i slid into a tree and bent my 400's axle. So i guess that means even more money i need going my old 400 other than my new kawi. I really hate having to buy another $300 axle, but i guess thats just part of the adventure.

Yeah same here i usually never ask someone to ride their quad because i know they will ask to ride mine, which i don't like.

I have a hard fast standing rule with anyone that rides any of my toys and it goes both ways. You break it you buy it, if they don't agree to that or I think they can't afford that then they don't ride. I have bought a front shock for a blaster (may have been normal wear and tear but it broke when I was riding it) Also chipped in on a front axle and radiator for and old jeep, that was fun we took that baby airborne.

Knock on wood I have not had any of my toys broken yet, but only a few have been ridden/used by others they just haven't asked.

That is my 2 cents.

Didn't mean to high jack the thread there so back to the original topic. I don't have a pic need to get one and post it, but on the first day I took my KFX450 out during the end of the ride I was flying through the sand and a stick popped up and hit my peg. I didn't think it did anything but it ended up cracking my heel guard. It was not a big deal as I have always said since the get go I was going to replace them with aftermarket. They didn't feel or look as thick as the stock heel guards on the Z400.

i would definatly rather the bumper and tabs break then tweak a frame. Thats wat they are meant to do, they should take the brunt of the impact and keep the frame stright
