Everyone keep a close eye on your chain tension. I threw mine and busted the crap out of my case. Kaw is going to warranty, but i also work for a dealership. Guess I'm goin to find out what these things are made of. When i called for warranty they had me measure the chain deflection, and the torque at which the carrier bolts broke loose at, which were all different. I'm not sure if this will be a continueing problem or not. My engine is a pretty early serial number as is my frame: engine 153, frame 022. Just thought i'd give the heads up.

my chain came off today too. from what I can tell it didn't hurt anything. When I measured the slack it was nearly 2" so im going to tighten it a little.

Maybe Kawi is using lower class chains from the factory and they are stretching quickly. I dunno.

Replaced the crankases, and readjusted chain and it was at the tight end of the specs. Threw the chain two more times and busted the case again. Now i think my injector has gone bad.
