It was a fun and good day of riding for a few hours. Than my friends master link broke on his yz426 and wraped around the front sproket till it couldnt move no more :( of course it happened when we got to our fun little slate yard hill climb area the only place around that wasnt a tacky mud mess!

Thanks for all the feedback on how your new KFX450 rode. I'm overwhelmed with all this data you have uncovered for us. "It was muddy." R U kidding me?

Ya ya sorry for the wait!
Well Im in love :p ... The power was there right off the bat, its just beggin to be piped and let out. In the woods i floated bewtween second and third but never really found myself having overshift at all. The clutch is smooth as can be and the throttle is nice and light unlike a yfz. it may have the shortest wheelbase of the 450's but it was stable as could be, not once did it feel light in the front in fact it felt glued down. I played around for a little while on some slate hill climbs the only thing around thats dry and could have spent the whole day there. It was a blast once again the power was there as soon as you touched the throttle it went. I loved the reverse one of the best features hands down. Its located above the throttle so you can shift in and out of first and reverse with sooooooo much ease never. it makes you wonder why it took so long to think of something so simple. no problems starting it. no problems running it other than a freak stick getting stuck underneath the castlenut on my steering stem making steering hard but it was obvious there was something not right. The plastic on the back fenders are also nice and curved so that when you take a turn you can lean into them and it actually sorta holds you in, nice! Piped I think this thing will scream.
The one thing I did notice that i dont like is where the radiator and fan are located. The fan could easily catch a stick or anything else that comes by and being plastic I hope that there is/will be a shroud of some sorts for sale.
Other than that I would love to say some bad things about it so that way I dont have to see 30 of these out everytime I go riding but oh well I it looks like Kawi may have taken there time and nailed it the first time out!
Btw The the owners manual says the compression is 12:1 nice :)
