Just got to ride after installing twobros exhaust,fci,pc5/autotune,
:shocker:OMG!! runs great but noticed the exhaust tip is black and alot of soot? I used a map from powercommander web site for a lte full system,lte intak w/k&n. Thought it would be a good starting point, all of there maps use 13.2 afr for the autotune.should i lean that out some ??how far? Any input would be great, Im thinking dynojet keeps there maps alittle rich to be safe but idk

What is the thing in the 2nd pic coming out of the header? I've never seen that before..

I believe it is the O2 sensor for the auto tune feature on the PC V. It checks the exuast temp to meter the fuel. Too hot, it will turn down the fuel. Toocold, it turns it up.
Yes it kind of a O2 Sensor but it does not read the exhaust temps, it check the Air/Fuel mixture.

autotune feature adjusts the air/fuel ratio on the fly,
I was hoping to find some one on here that has some experience with it,
its set for 13.2 all across the board now but seems to still be a little rich maybe 13.7 or 14 would be better idk. will probly just have to play with it, but any info would be great
can any one tell me when they dyno one do they moniter afr ? if so what kind of numbers are they looking for ???

I am running around 13.2 afr until it reaches 210 degrees farenheit and then it gets to about 12.6 until the temp goes back down to 200 in order to help the fan cool on hot days.

13:0 & above A/F is (oops! very rich) I mean Lean at 200 degrees....12.2~12.8 A/F is the range many racers ran...!

I think u mean that 13 afr is lean? At 200...

I was giving the pcv a chance by using what they suggested for afr parameter and that is 13.2 afr across the board....so i had it in a descending order from 13.2 at an idle to 12.6 at 100% throttle. I check my plug a good bit and am just on the lean side so i will enrich my mixture to everything being in the 12's.

It took me hours but i was able to tune the pcv with a stock ecu and regulator. I will rescale the afr to be lower though...and thank you for the help!

I have been using the procom ecu and procom regulator to ride with and it works; however it seems to only work right while riding. The voltage must be a 14v or above or it does a fuel cut ...while idling. I know its the voltage/amperage because i have 2 new batteries on the quad mounted up. But with just one battery the fuel cut that the procom is doing is like 3 whole afr's...like 12.5 to 15.5 and lasts about 30 sec. So i hook the second battery up and it cuts fuel less often and when it does it will only jump about 1.5afr. So when i am actually riding it works great because of a higher voltage from the alternator. The regulator makes a difference too...the procom has a sensor that knows when the battery is fully charged and then it leaves the magnetic feed from the stator open constantly to get better power usage directly to the ecu...my guess is that procom knew the procom ecu needed more power to run consistently so they made the regulator get more power to the ecu.

By the way i have my coolant temp sensor wired into the pcv and thats how i make compensation for they voltage drop of the fan when it comes on....even the stock ecu goes lean when the fan kicks on. I add between 6 and 10% fuel from the time the fan comes on till it goes off. And 12.4 - 12.8 afr is much better.

The autotune doesnt work with the procom ecu due to the variation of fuel delivery...the autotune tries to compensate for the leaner mixture and once it does the procom ecu goes back to normal and the autotune chases it back am forth and makes it run terrible.

Once i get a good baseline tune i will switch parts back and forth until i figure out whats making the procom go lean..
