Patching sand tires

So I got a hole in my sand tire from a wayward trail marker.

It has a plug in it now. But I would like a patch on the inside.

What do you guys think?

Depends on the type of plug...Slime or Mushroom....?

If it a slime type I would patch it ASAP...Mushroom style are more permanent, can last the life of the tire...!!

It’s a crappy slime plug.

I can’t get a tire shop in town to put a better plug in. Super lazy shops

I’ll try and get a mushroom style plug put in.

They don’t seem to understand these tires are 200+ dollars each lol

Well I couldn’t get the tire shop to put a different style plug in.

So I’m going to have my father in law patch it next time we visit him. Lazy tire shops

Update:

He put a boot in the tire and it’s holding great!

I’ve since gone on two dune trips and it doesn’t loose any air at all
