Hello and Help!

I've been on here for a while reading and trying to learn so I figured it was time to finally create an account and join the conversation.

I have an 08 KFX with the FCI and Empire full system and Procom ecu and love it, it's like a whole new quad. Then I found a good deal on the Wiseco Stage 1 KX cams so I picked them up. Just installed the cams and am having some difficulty with startup, and have tried almost all the Procom presets with no luck. If anyone has experience with these cams in a KFX and/or a Procom map I could try out I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum...What year KX are the Wiseco Stage 1 KX cams for....

The KX450f cams 2006~08 intake/exhaust will work..

The Intake cam does not work... 09 to present...Due to the KX head re-designed in 09...5mm shorter...will cause piston to valve contact resulting in damage...!!!

If the Wiseco Stage 1 KX cams are 2008...Then check the valve clearance/adjust if needed & valve timing...Also check if the Cam chain tensioner has been installed properly....

Procom map 8~9 are best with the FCI intake & Full exhaust see picture blow..

The cams are WCI007 and WCE007, on Wiseco's site they say KX 06-09 so I'm thinking (hoping) I'm safe. Timing is correct and chain tensioner is correct as well as clearance. Ran if for 30 mins then pulled the valve cover to check chain tension and valve clearance twice and was good both times. I used the 10 setting from procom's site and added a bit of fuel around 2000 rpm which seemed to help with startup. Its running now just takes a little bit of throttle to get it cold started so I'm thinking the TPS might be off by a little. blue99stroker sent me a map with the timing slightly retarded at idle that he said helped him with cold start, so I'll be trying that this weekend to see if that solves it. Once its started it runs great, seems like it just needs some fine tuning now. And it RIPS.
