Procom/Blackbox + Dobeck EFI controller?

Have anyone try this?

I had my kfx for some years dealing with the battery draining issue and turning off the kfx in neutral for all these years but Im tired of this and wanted to know if I can solve this by buying only a Procom/blackbox ECU. im on a budget and trying not to throw lot of money on the kfx.

My existing set up is a Dasa system, cfm intake box and a dobeck EFI controller without internal modifications on the engine.

Thanks

Procom or blackbox? Are they the same? Is there any quality/performance difference between them?

Thanks

They are likely the same.

I would just buy the procom though.

Hi again, I just installed the procom ecu and removed the dobeck efi controller. I decided to remove the dobeck efi controller to sell it. I play with it using 7,8 and 9 set point. The quad revs a bit higher now and i like that.

On 9 it feels a bit off in terms of responsiveness and on high rpms there were some flames
On 8 I saw a bit of smoke coming out of the exhaust
On 7 i belive it was the best but im not sure if it might to lean so thats why im trying to get some feedback

9 was likely rich.
7 should be good.

Rev limiter is increased. But kfx doesn’t make power with more rpms.

Cfm Intake definitely doesn’t benefit from more rpms like fci does

Hi,

I have several questions about the Procom since I have two of them one of them is working fine its set on position 7, the second one I got it for a friend of mine which needed a wiring harness and ECU change, so we got an used wiring harness and a Procom that as per the seller were working fine...

Long story short
I wanted to test the Procom on my kfx to make sure it was working ok so I set the Procom screw on #7 since thats were my other unit is set( it was on 0 ) but the quad wasnt starting and it really sound weird when turning over so my questions are:

1. if the Procom has a custom map loaded, on which screw position will this custom map will work?

2. Is there a way to do a factory reset to on the Procom so it will become like a new unit?

3. I connected the Procom on my computer and followed the instructions, downloaded the 10 preconfigured maps from Procom web page and tried to load them on the unit but aparently it only load the latest since it will override the previous one, also the software showed that the map was loaded successfully on the unit.

4. Is there any test to verify if the Procom unit is bad?

Any hint you guys can provide ?

Thanks
