They're designed not to have too much strength. It's either the stem bends or your frame bends. I'll take the first option.

I agree, I would rather have my stem bend before the frame, but I have used other brand stems and bent them too easily on just a simple roll over.

Houser stems are ment to bend forward and backward, not side to side so you can still finish a race. if its a hard enough hit, it will bend your bars... bars $50, stem $135, ill take new bars please... and if you have flex bars it will either bend the end piece or just flex the bar down... Houser stems are top notch. so are gibson and walsh and rath and many more.... but just bc you have gibson doesnt mean its the best...

Would any of you gurus know...will a houser clamp fit a roll design stem? I think that the anti vibe stems are made pretty much so all the clamps will interchange..but I thought one of you may know that for sure????
