race tech

I don't have the budget to put on some pricey shock that some racers do but I was watching a video on a KFX build and they had race tech revalve and respring them and was looking into doing the same. Has anyone gone this route and if so how did it turn out. Spoke to Race tech on the phone and they said if I was going to do this in stages to start with respinging the fronts then revalving and do the same with the back to get the best results. My parts guy can get me the springs for just over $200 witch is a good price from what I can find. Just would like some input on this. thanks

If you are going to have them revalved I would go to Hygear you will be much happier with them. I did race tech first and switched to hygear. Call and ask for Ross and if you could tell him Brad sent you. I got a deal with Motowoz this year or I would still be running Hygear as well.

I saw a KFX build video that used NoleenJ6 to revalve/respring the shocks on their Kawi and said it made a huge difference so I had them do mine also. In fact I liked them better than the Elka Elites I used to have because they Elka's were not set up for me anyways.

I once had Race Tech (back when they were TCS) rebuild the shocks on my Z400 and I don't have anything bad to say about them but I do like the customer service of Noleen J6 alot better.

Here is a link to a thread a started about this last year.

I found a guy out east that said he would rebuild my front shocks for about $150 and have them back to me with in the week. He will also dyno them to make sure they are right on. He gave me his cell # and said we can call him at any given time 7 days a week. John at East Coast Suspension 724-336-3293 tell him Sean told you to call, that is if you call him.

I got my rear redone by Quad Cities Quad Doctor and its as good are the Podium-X I have.... I will not hesitate to throw it on and race it if my Fox goes out... he was very cheap too...He mainly does XC stuff but he set mine up for MX and its the best revalve I have ever had (I have had lots in the past)

I liked my GT Thunder rebuilds. Another great company to look into is Jet Suspension. They're in Indiana, and the owner Nick is a really nice guy. He knows what he's doing. They set up a lot more quads for XC, but a lot of guys I run with are running revalves/resprings from him and I've never heard a single bad word from any of them. His prices are great too. $200 for the springs alone is definately a price that can be beat.

Right on AZ, I originally had mine rebuilt by C&D Racing and am very happy with them and I am friends with them, but I am a consumer and look for the best prices. Just like the majority or all of us on here we pay our own way to the races or trails.

I would have them do the work there cuz I'm right close to them but I have friends that work at SSR powersports and they do right by me. they buy some stuff though Hygear for shocks but his spring kits were just a little more money then the race tech kit so thats why I'm looking into them. thanks for all the input guys it always helps
