elka vs fox??

ok so today i heard sumthing that goes like this, if you ride mx, fox is the way to go, if u ride desert/dunes elka is the way to go

so what do the guys actually running these think???

Elka has a dealer problem. If a dealer stocks an Elka shock that will fit they will ship it out and not customize it for you which is why you see a lot of people bashing Elka. You will see some people recommending Elka. However, I think it's a safe bet to go with Axis or Motowoz. Just to be sure your getting custom valving.

We do not stock Elka but we do offer it and we make you fill out a custom build sheet. I ran Elka a few years ago on my YFZ450. They felt nice and plush but rolled into the corners a little. I tried to adjust the roll out but I soon found out the gold and black knob I paid 600 dollars more for did not work for my application.

well i like the fox floats but this guys arguement was that his whole team races in the baja 500 and u hardly see anyone with fox in desert races, and i ride mainly desert and dunes, anyone with fox floats ride dunes and desert???

elka just has a bigger part in the desert part. meaning more support for them. I personally hate elka suspension. They rush out shocks and there valving comes out horrible. knowing a few top guys out there that got stuck on elka go trough hell to try and get them good. and there still not where there Ti axis or fox ever where.
