Angled paddles will ride nicer when you're going slow, as there's part of a paddle in contact with the ground more often (If not constantly. no bump bump bump like the straight paddles). The disadvantage is that, instead of forcing all of the sand out backwards (Like a straight paddle), giving you maximum hook-up, they force some out to the sides, which results in wasted 'effort', and less efficient acceleration. But if you can get em' cheap, and aren't planning on doing a whole lot of drag racing, get the angled ones. You'll just be slower than everyone else
