another new ia member

hi there.bought a 2009 kfx 450r last year.the faster green one.i have also ridden dirt bikes and street bikes.have a zx14 for the street.this is my first atv.wasnt sure i was going to like it after the first ride.then i bought a steering slabilizer and some ITP GNCC TIRES.hole lot better.now i ordered two brothers exaust,PC V,13 TOOTH FOR THE FRT,40 TOOTH FOR THE REAR,as i always had to keep clutching.rode at the mark twainn park which is all rock and stair stepping mountainsalso does any body know if a 23"tire will mount on the oringal rims so i can gaine some clearence? thanks. also iam an old fart at 55.OH i forgot the CFM intake air box with a K&N filter.

Wow... you geared it way down... 13/40... I think that is a record at this point.

Did your KFX stall out super easy before with stock gearing?
Mine sure does.... so I am curious.

I think counting you and me, there might be 4 people total on here who have went down on the gearing. Everyone else has gone UP... at least to 15/38.

Where you at in Iowa Tundra? I am southeast of Des Moines about 17 miles. I haven't heard of anyone using 23" tires on a sport quad.

gearing down

yes is was always stalling.i do the woods riding with hills.had to clutch all the time which sucks. as for ad2d i live in perry.25 miles north west from des moines.
