Indiana newbie

Hi everyone. As the title states I'm new to the site, and 4 wheels. I just purchased a new '08 kfx450r last month. I've been poking around here since then and have used my gained knowledge to start modifying already. Most of my off-roading experience is on two wheels so excuse any stupid questions. Seeing that this is my first experience w/fuel injection I'm sure I'll have several. I'm in western Indiana and am always looking for people to ride with. I've got about 1000 acres of woodland I ride here at home, and Redbird and the Badlands are pretty close. I also like to travel to ride, just this fall made trips down to Turkey Bay@LBL in Kentucky and Brimstone in Tennessee. I'm ready to start planning this years camping/riding trips. A few places that I'm interested in hitting are northern Michigan, Hatfield-McCoy, Danial Boone National Forest, Royal Blue, Coal Creek, Little Sahara, Carolina Adventure World, Chadwick or St. Joe, and some day the Imperial Valley(Glamis). If anyone lives close to any of these areas or would like to plan a trip PM me and we'll try and hook up.

Welcome to the site Indy and glad you finally wised up and got a quad. I was a skirt biker once upon a time too. I am in central Iowa and my buddies and I go down to St. Joe, MO riding often on some private ground and plan on going to Little Sahara and Chadwick one of these days. Will definately let you know when we go.

Welcome, I felt the same way after coming from 25+ years of 2 wheels to ATVs also. Still learning but more the same than different.

Whats up fellow Hoosier, I live in NWI and am up for riding any weekend. Let me know a day in advance and I'll clear my schedule for some good riding. We do the Badlands quite a bit but I'm always up for new areas. We did some good riding in Central WI just this past year about an hr from the Dells.

DrazKFX, I'd definitely like to hook up and hit the Badlands, but you've got to give me a little time. Currently I'm on the injured reserv list.

It's in Laurel Indiana. It's a pretty nice place. The tracks kinda suck, but I'm a woods guy and it's really hilly. 750 acres w/thousands of miles of trails. Only problem is the trucks and buggies have really rutted the place out, and there are a bunch of red-kneck idiots there that sometimes cause some problems. I started racing XC's there in their series about 5 years ago.
