I have raced 3 harescrambles where my bike has overheated. The fan is running fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Have any advice? Thanks

I am not sure on a fix for the mud but, I did buy an in-line temp gauge that I can easily look over and read so, I would know if I was getting too hot. You can see it in this picture. I paid like $60 for it delivered. If you haven't already you might look at replacing you liquids with aftermarket stuff there are several good brands out there that should help you running a little cooler.

PWR makes a upgraded radiator for about $400 bucks.

Yea I am already running engine ice. I was realy not wanting to buy a new rad this early in the game. I gonna try to make a better shroud to block the mud and see if that helps.

dont know if any one does this but if you spray w-d 40 on the radiator shroud/ guard, it should help keep the mud from sticking, "1million uses" (or may not help at all)

I have taken a screen (just a normal window screen or aluminum mesh) and put it infront of the radiator. This way mud will still pack up but it will not "clog" the radiator. Air can still trip over the screen and pass some air threw the radiator and now the fan has a clean radiator to pull air threw. If you do this and run the "ICE" I would think it'd be fine. Please be careful on cheap in-line guages. I have seen them vibrate the guage out and burn people..

This is the first I have heard of that almost everyone I ride with regularly has one and have never experienced anything close to that. My biggest fear is that when I tighten them up I might cut the hose off. I tighten it like I would on a car and shy of overheating I have never had any of them come off.
None the same if you are concerned about it don't buy it. As for me I trust it with my girlfriend and my kids and nothing is more valuable to me then them.

By no means do I mean they will all do this. But, I have seen them break where the fitting from the guage goes into the jacket. I have also seen in-line fuel pressure guages do the same. They just vibrate and vibrate and eventually something gives. And on the radiator screen topic, if you do it please remeber not to put the screen right against the raditor. I had mine about 3 inches in front so the air can trip over the screen into the radiator.
