I would check your TPS. Did you use the wire tap on the TPS for your PCV? If you did I bet you are getting poor connection b/c those things cut the wires easily. If not, check that your TPS is around .64v. I'd be willing to bet that it's off.

my valve clearances were off a little so i'm waiting on shims. After i get those in spec i'll have a better idea or at least i'll know if that was or wasn't the problem. BTW some of the problem was that my battery cable was loose (duh) so the fuel pump was not functioning properly; after i fixed that it still had a small miss right off idle.

When you replace the Shims Be careful of the Dowel pins and the retaining clips from falling down your cam chain, Their steel so a magnet will fish them out...

Except the oil pipes Their brass & check for damaged rubber seals on either ends. If damaged they could cause lubrication problems and damage will occur...

So!!! stuff shop rags and prevent any parts from falling down your cam chain!!!!!

Also any debris that falls down your cam chain will "Clog" your oil screen.

So be careful.!!!

Thanks for the advice. There is way more involved adjusting these valves then any other quad i've owned.
