That wierd problm is back?

I had a post awhile back about a wierd problem my quad was giving me I haven't really addressed this problem untill this week. I called the local dealer the mechanic there racesthis quad and said that he had one come in with the same problem mine was doing would run then you hit the fue it shutoff and poped the fuel pump fuse. He told me it was the relay i ordered it came in yesterday i put it in today and it idled fine i let it get hot the fan came on i was wailing on the gas in neutral and no problems. I put it in gear gave it a little gas and let the clutch out and it stalled. I dont think I even got the clutch all the way out and it shutoffand would not start again. It sounds like the fuse popped again because the pump wasnt coming on. This is really getting rediculous now anyone have a clue WTF this thing is doing. Now it only seems like its when its in gear cause it ran perfect idling. Mayble slight bouncing of RPM's in idle you could hear the engine surging a little.

Did you replace both relays. One is starter control in gear and one's in neutral. I don't know why that'd be the issue...but maybe it's worth a try. Switch the fan relay and the in gear relay and see what happens.

if you have a digital meter, or analog meter that reads continuity, take the relay that you think is bad and check to see if the relay has continuity through it...

mayby the spark plug needs replaced that wouldn't hurt...check to see how many volts your battery is drawing...

mayby you have a short somewhere coming off your fuel pump fuse lines..

Ya i took a good look today and found a short. It was after the connector by the fuel pump where the 3 wires go into the harness it was rubbing on the frame. It's all good now tapped it up real good and rode it. All is good. Thanks guys/gals for the help
