Question Elka Sysyem3 how to?

Just got my Elka System3 and I dont have a manual for it. There is a red nob on top of a black nob. There is also a flat head screw that is supposed to be a return to center. Is the unit supposed to return the arm to center automaticly or something? Any help on what the adjustments do and how to set it up would be FANTASTIC!

Thanks for any input,
Rob

i believe the return to ceneter would be an adjustment on how fast or slow it returns to center after you turn or hit bumps, im not sure tho, have you tired searching online for manuals? most companys have systems online or i could give my buddy a call he is an elka dealer

Elka System 3 instructions

I have a Elka System 5, which is virtually identical to the 3 with a few more bells and whistles, and here is the breakdown:

Red Knob: Low Speed setting, ~38 clicks, turn clockwise to increase force
Black Knob: High Speed setting, ~12 clicks, turn clockwise to increase
Flat Head screw is return to center: 5 clicks, clockwise to increase

Adjust high speed, low speed, then return, in order. The return to center feature increases the resistance of the unit when quickly straightening out the handlebars, in addition to the high speed and low speed forces. Great option of drifting in rutted corners. As far as the high speed setting is concerned, a little goes a long way, especially if you are turning a lot (tight technical).
