haha reekers, if the packing gets wet, thru washing it, rain, water holes, the packing degrades at a much faster rate, not saying thats the case here, i am on about 40 hrs on my dasa , original packing with no issues to speak of

That's my thoughts on it...
And it costs the same thing to do the can with something that will stand up to the heat without messing up.

This is Fuel Atv's reply.

We received the pipe and we sent it up to Dasa last week. We got it back
today from Dasa. Dasa is saying that the damage that has been done is not under the warranty. The damage that has been done was because the exhaust has been run without any packing. Dasa recommends that the packing needs to be checked every 10-20 hours of riding. You may have also burnt through the packing a lot quicker if the bike was not properly tuned. When the canister is run without packing the aluminum gets too hot which causes it to become weak and brittle. Also, without packing the canister will have a lot more vibration which can also cause damage.
We can fix the canister for you by replacing the outer aluminum and
installing new packing. The cost of the materials is $55 for the canister
and $29 for the packing. We will do the labor free of charge.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (619) 425-3835.
You may also contact Dasa directly at (951) 681-1131.
Thank You,
Danielle

broot, notice it says CHECK The packing every 10-20 hrs, not TO REPACK IT , as long as ur bike is tuned properly the packing last much longer
