As far as the optics on these pods...

They are larger diameter than stock...
Clear lens optics...
Just plain smooth chromed reflector...

Dunno how that might work with HID.

Try the 4 inch HID with internal ballasts from Kragen/Checker/Oreilly. The store seems to be different names depending on what part of the country your in. They are a nice HID light for about $80 each. Let me know if you want to convert the stock lights.
