Got my quad back from the dealer for the fuel tank recall. Ran it for 15 minutes 3.5 hours away from home. It dies completely.. no lights nothing. We find the main 30 amp fuse to be blown... odd. Put in a new one... runs for 3 hours.. blows another fuse. I pack up my stuff and drive home.

My friends notice my front lever makes the taillight illuminate dimly. Rear pedal brake lights up like normal.

A.) Something is crossed or crossing wires? Ground is good, battery is good.. both terminals are connected.

B.) Possibility of water somewhere it shouldn't be?

I've taken the quad out for a ride with the power commander installed already and it worked fine for about 2-3 hours prior to the dealer visit.

I'm gonna remove the commander and go over the wires again. If the problem still persists I'm going back to the dealer. Fix this terd you effers...

Any thoughts from you guys? Anyone else experience this horse shit?

I lost a filling from my tooth on the way home to boot.

Found the cause of my fuse problem. For whatever reason, my wiring was laying in my exhaust pipe.

Melted through and crossed some wires. I think it may have also screwed something up with my FI 'cause its now running like chit. Wow this is painful.

More findings....

I just put the quad completely back to stock and it works like brand new and the FI light went off. These shorts I had must have screwed up my PC3. Darn it.

I chatted with Stan over at Dynojet. My quad seems to bog real bad after half throttle and start horribly. He said to hook it back up to the computer and check the throttle position with the quad running. Maybe I can reset that and get this thing to work again. Possibly it changed during the series of shorts I was having with these unseen wires resting on the pipe. Worst case I send it back to them. They can fix it for me. I'll post back after I tinker with it more.

Lesson learned, watch for loose wires getting too close to the exhaust. I guess you'll have that.
