I have one on mine and my dad has one on his 400. Got them for Christmas. It works great for me with MX. My pops XC season is about to start up so we will see how it holds up with that. One down side, your going to have to drill a hole for the 8 mm drain bolt. Mine didnt have one. Also, changing oil is a pain, it pours onto the skid and fills it up.

Heh my cheap-o JnJ eBay special skid is holding up awesome. The hole is the right size and in the right spot for draining the oil (A little gets on top of it right as you pull the plug out, just gotta be quick After that it goes through without any issues), and it has never come loose. It's gouged up like a motherfucker from hitting big ugly rocks, but nothing has gone through, and I'd bet that when I take it off, the frame will be in a+ shape. A poly/Carbon Fibre/Fibreglass skid would probably work well for the frame skid, as it would absorb impact better than aluminum. I wouldn't ever run a swing arm skid made out of anything but aluminum (Or steel, I suppose, if it weren't for the weight issue. Maybe I'll custom make a stainless skid one day. Bit thinner than aluminum, bit more ground clearance). Too much flex/tendency to crack on some of the shit I run over.
