need answer fast please!!!

okay guys so i got a new battery today, i put it on the charge with 2 amps at about 730-8pm, its now 11:45 and when i check the charger the charger is showing at the same spot as an hour before, when i put my meter on it i get 13.75v, but the charger display doesnt say full charge yet?

also the battery is hot and you can actually listen to it making noise inside, so i unplugged it until i get some answers, i am leaving tommorow at 4pm so i still have time to charge it more

so shold i plug it back in until the display says full charge? or should i take it off cause the volts read 13.75?

did you ad the acid yourself or was it put in there before. when you ad acid it gets hot. hook up the trickle charger again and put it on 2 amps and leave it. i would take it in to the dealership and have them test it. dont buy junk battery. is it a yuasa battery if it is not take it back to the story and get one of those. they are the best. that is all we sold at my the dealership i work at. ya we sold cheap batteries but yuasa were batteries we didnt see back because they didnt work.

it was new and my buddy that runs a shop put the acid in and started to charge it for a little bit, then i came and grabbed it, on the battery it says 3amps takes 1 hr to charge so when its been on 2amps i figure 2-3 hrs but its been like 5 , but when we first hooked it up the the charger it was on the 0 mark and the marks read 0,2,4,6 and its on the 6, i was just about to go to sleep so i unplugged it cause it was really hot and i didnt know if that was normal and i didnt want something to happen when i was alseep! and the battery is an interstate battery, so its not a junk battery

interstate is what we cared too. iv hooked up batteries after i added the acid and the charger reads full charge. the reason for this is because when you install the acid the battery jumps up to about half charge. if i were you i would give it back to him in the morning and make him charge it and if he sees a problem he should get a new one and get it charged for you before you leave. that is what i do at my work.

A battery for this bike should be an AGM battery... just putting that out there...


As for the battery charging, I am not sure... I don't know your charger.

Is it reading that unhooked? That's the main question....

Check it now since it's been unplugged all night.

when i woke up it was reading about 12.3 volts(keep in mind it went from 77 degrees yesterday to 43 degrees when i woke up) i put it in the quad and she fired up, im putting the tender back on it til i leave to make 100000% sure! haha ahhhh so much stilll left to do!

The best way to test is to pour some of the acid into a shot glass and gargle it for about 2 minutes. If your tongue boils off the charge is complete.

Hydrofloric acid works better then sulfuric haha
