tell me what you guys think

dude ever since i bought my kfx450r. i hated it,hate it so much i'm going to buy a 2010 when they come out. but i have to say something bought mine new since day one ran hot light came on. so i bought a fluildyne rad. a month or two no light then it comes on. so then i buy a boyseen super cooler a month or 2 fine then light comes on. always have ran engine ice. i just think that kawa needs to rethink the kfx450r a little, a diffent head maybe or a differnt fan . when my fan is on i put my hand behind it barly blows, my wife does a better job. i put it underneth the fan blows just like a fan in ur house, blows a lot air out. maybe a redesign of the fan would help with that problem. next thing streering knuckles how many broke one of them. and how many of you guys have the little brain plug stripped from the factory. connecting rods a lot of us broke them from high compression pistons, why maybe because they are the same as the dirt bike. now how much does a dirt bike weight 250lbs now with a rider375lb.ok the quad how much does that weight.375 400,now put my fat ass on it 600lbs the torge the power it's going to break it wasn't designed for that. the streering ball joint on the botom of the stem how many have u bough??????? and stripped tappets the things in the frame the bolts screw in, how many do u have stripped. and for my final rant how many of u guys blown a fuse any fuse it doesn't matter because it blew it shouln't have happened but guess what it did. and before any of you guys judge me i've been hear since the begining i have an 2007 kfx450r first one to own one in northeatsern pa. i just would like to know it's been 3 years it's time to fix the kfx, kawasaki. take the ltr450 tranny problems they addressed it in a year. get off ur ass kawasaki. and i might seem extreme but even the factory riders have these problems and they are still waiting for the most problems. so this is mike signing off HAPPY FORTH OF JULY AND PRAY FOR THE TROOPS RIDE SAFE

shit is gonna break, ive had mine for 2 yrs and i have went thru 1 stem bushing, other than that the only thing thats broken has been from flipping, the stator and regulator went out ,got that warrantied and hasnt been an issue since

i run hot, but never had the light come on and i live in az so the temp here is already hotter than most, never blown a fan fuse, broke a spindle or anything

and do u race??

if u race u would need to upgrade a lot of things as with anything u buy

I bought mine in 07 being one of the first in southern NC. I havent had one issue other than breaking an aftermarket aluminum sprocket. Let me say that again.... NONE. Oh, and by the way, I race motocross full time on it.Trust me, its not babied one bit. I agree with the picky statement.

I've had mine out in the AZ desert and it's never overheated, run full bore out in the sand dunes of Nevada and never overheated. The only issue has been that stupid threaded insert in the rear subframe and water got into the main power junction and drained the battery once. Haven't broke anything but the swingarm skid plate while in AZ. I've had it since Dec '07.

Jesus dude, sell the fucking thing if you hate it so much. These things do not have overheating issues. They just don't. If they do, it's because you did something stupid, or it has an issue that will be covered under the standard warranty. Maybe if you would have taken it back to the dealership instead of throwing cash at it without knowing what the problem was, they could have fixed it, and you wouldn't have to worry about it. You don't need to run an aftermarket rad, you don't need to run any extra cooling systems. The fan works just fine if the ran is clear of any mud or debris, just like any other rad on any other machine.

The connecting rod holds up just fine with the stock internals that it was designed with. If you upgrade the cam/piston, you should make sure the rest of the motor can handle it. Anyone that has built a motor knows this. You don't run a 2 bolt main 350 if you want to get 600 HP out of it. It will break. Go figure.

Tell you what I think? I think you should stop bitching and buy a Honda if you're so uphappy with the Kawi.
