idles, but dies when i give throttle
hey guys, i have been having problems with my bike this last weekend and need some of your help. the bike was running mint. i loved it than all of the sudden i went to start it and it wouldn't go. so we hooked up a charger and than it fired. had to do it a few times that day. thought maybe my battery was junk. so than i came home put a new plug in it thinking maybe it was fouled. started bike up and it fired right away.
the bike was acting up when it was hot. would start when cold, but wouldn't when hot. so i was told to take some fuel away from it at bottom end. i have a PC3 and i did so while it was on the bike. ran fine, took it for a ride up the rode. ran perfect no pops or backfires. i let it sit their and idle for a few seconds and when i would hit the gas it was shoot a flame out when almost back to idle speed. no i thought maybe it was not enough fuel so i gave it more and now the dam thing will idle but as soon as i hit the throttle it dies. sounds like its dumping fuel in and killing the bike. anyone have any suggestions

If your shooting a flame out the exhaust, might be fuel mixture is too rich, bad valve lash or poor compression...Is the PC III still hooked up???
Check the PC III wire connection @ the TPS yellow wire...
Solder the connection!!!
Don't use the splice it gives you, it will cut through the wire...
Also check the TPS voltage @ close 0.58~0.62 volts...???
Any modifications, Cams, intake or exhaust for example....or completely stock???
have you tried a different map for your PC III ???
If it Persist???
Check your valve clearance...Exhaust 0.17~0.22mm (0.0067~0.0087 in)
inlet 0.10~0.15mm (0.0039~0.0059 in)
And do a compression test...Compression standard 62~65 psi @ 900 RPMs or starter speed...
Here's the service manual for future reference....
Download & save on your computer...

Thanks for the reply, I am going to check what you suggested tonight after work. The bike has the following mods.
FCI intake
KandN filter
KX cams
13:1 comp piston
Corillo rod
Polished tranny
Sparks exhaust
PC3
I just ordered a programable procom ECU unit, to help other stupid problems. Ill let you know how I make out tonight. I just switched to kawi's and I'm havin a hard time grasping this electrical stuff. Thanks again Duster.
Oh and when I plug my PC3 into my computer nothing happens, I downloaded the software but I can't get my map to show up on the screen. Any sugestions?

Is the wiring harness gutted? If its not i would highly recommend it. I had mine done by BCS and it eliminates alot of the electrical bs on this quad.

so i soldered the PC3 into the right wire, still doing it. checked the valve lash, still doing it. changed maps, still doing it. i leaned the thing right out and it still shoots fire when coming down to idle RPM. i don't know what to do. the bike only has about 15 hours since brand new. should not have these problems. i guess im gonna have to send my harness away and get it gutted.

For your starter button, follow the wire down under the hood. Theres a black cover thats velcrowed shut. Open it up and see if that wire for the starter button is still connected. It easily comes unplugged, I had to pull it out a little bit so it wouldnt unplug when the bars were turned.
Just a guess bro, good luck.

Did you check the TPS voltage?
Check battery voltage? Battery Cables? Mine have come loose before.
Check all fuses and relays?

Check your battery connection and grounds....
A loose ground will cause your symptoms you described...
