I personally would not run it like that. I know fuel injection is great and the stock ecu can adjust pretty far, but not that far. Now that you eliminated the box thats even more air. Now im not sure cus I dont have a power commander, but my LRD FIC controller only controls fuel. I can add more fuel, or take fuel away but thats it. With all the air your bikes getting, I dont think you'll be getting enough fuel with out that controller.

Thats just me personally, I can't say from a mechanical point of view if it will work out that way. But it seems logical, otherwise we wouldnt need the fuel controllers.

Thats bad luck man, I used the stock velcro too but i stuck it inside the plastic, underneath the stock little tool holder. The velcro didnt last long at all, So i made a station for it in the same spot, with some zipties, perfect! Doesnt even move around!

I understand completely, you'd think they actually tried the velcro themselves since they send it to you with the controller. But I dont think they do lol. Anyways Yea I wouldnt run it liek that. Worse things could happen, if you do, not worth it!

You would need to revert back to the stock intake if you plan on riding. Without a controller you'll be way too lean, and could cause some serious damage. You could leave the lid off the stock box, if you want, although theres really no point to it since the stock intake tube is too restrictive to make a difference.

Do not run it with out a fuel controller. You will be too lean and the stock ECU is not enough to compensate. I zip tied my PC3 to the tray that holds the tools. I have rode every type of terrain including the track and it has held tight.

You'll be running too lean that could lead to "Detonation" and will cause engine "Damage"....Be Patient and get another F.I. controller...
