blown head gasket?

What is the chance that I have a blown head gasket?

I ran hot for a while at my last race, but no real problems. I got back home and the next day rode around and within a half mile my fan kicked on so I went back.

Now today I went and checked the coolant level and the resivor is empty, opened the radiator and it was half full. I don't see a leak...

What could cause the coolant to dissapear? What could I check without assuming the head gasket?

A compression test, or a leak down test will tell you if you have a blown gasket or cracked head, or burnt valve.

+1 for that stuff.
Have you noticed any color difference in the exhaust? I know if you are burning coolant you are probably going to see some white in the exhaust.
What color is the Oil?
Im not sure about 4 strokes but on 2 strokes it is possible to leak coolant into the clutch and transmission due to bad water pump seal. Not sure where to start on a 4 stroke or if its possible but if your oil is gray it could be an indicator of where to look for the potential coolant loss.

Check the oil at the clear lens in rigth side, star the engine before for a few minutes(warm it ) because if it has water on the oil galleries it sit on the bottom of the cases just under the oil and you dont see it and probably you made a misdiagnosis.I have the same problem on my quad last month.Just replaces the two seals of the water pump shaft and flush my engine, now everything is ok.Remember to blee all the air from the cooling system before doing a real ride.

If it is a head gasket it can blow 3 ways...

Into cylinder (white smoke/steam)
Between oil passage & water jacket (oily coolant)-or-(white oil)
To outside (coolant leaking along gasket outside)

well as far as I can tell it's not a head gasket, that was the first thing that came to my mind because we blow them all the time in old toyotas.

I think this might be the problem, what part numbers did you order?

Yep... could be the water pump seals... oil showing contaminated in the sight glass when stirred up?
GOT MILK?

I will have a look at the parts diagram in a bit and give you my opinion on it.
I need to know how much you have ridden though...
To decide if it's normal wear and tear or if you need to consider more...
