Hose coming out of Crankcase question.

I just put on my new intake ive been waiting to put on for awhile and there isn't a spot on the new intake tube to mount the hose that comes off the crankcase like there is on the stock intake tube

i'm wondering what i'm suppose to do now? is this just a breather for the crank?

i have a outerwear that i bought that doesn't fit my new filter, i was going to cut up a few pieces of it and clamp them over the opening on the hose is this okay??

or do i have to somehow mount it in my new intake tube.

Thanks!

Yyyyep. I just bought a new chunk of hose, clamped the filter to it, and ran it straight up as far as it would go (Ended up sort of beside the air box... Or just below it. Or something). A little pre-filter wouldn't hurt either (Outerwears makes then for the tiny filters). You'll want to run a filter on it though, don't just put a chuck of pre-filter material over the hole.

I know a lot of guys run a K&N filter on the crankcase breather line (UNI also makes a good one), but as an alternative, for those of us with airboxes of some sort, I plumbed it into my airbox. A bit of hose, a 90 degree barbed fitting, rubber grommet, and a hole in the side near the top of the box. Got the idea from my buddies YFZ. Safe from debris, water, no extra filter to clean, and it gets the oil-saturated air out of the intake (shhhh, don't tell the California Air Quality Resources Board).
