Yep... a lotta BS...
I am a really really open-minded guy.... and not at all brand loyal... and have been mad as hell at Kawasaki for a long time now... months...
But I have to say that from ALL that I have been able to absorb in the last few years... that the KFX engine is without question in my mind the most durable, longest lasting, and lowest maintenance of all the 450's.
Your Suzuki buddy just has a little "green envy" in him because his engine is a bit less reliable and his trans is WAY LESS reliable.
The only plague the KFX really has is the electrical.
I think Suzuki has a lot better electrial and EFI.
Kawasaki would too if they had waited for the Z400 update before breaking ties with Suzuki... LOL...

Hell, i am not mad i just got my kfx450r and love it! I dropped one tooth in the front for the trails, did new chain & sprockets & rear bearings axle. When you are going slow waiting for people, i was riding the clutch she just wants to go, so i dropped a tooth and like it, but topend is a little lower but i gave to take ya know?
Thanks for all you tech guys, very very helpful to me!

The only thing I have heard is when vertical the 450's oil can go into the intake. I am not sure how true, but have heard that.

Read that also, but have not had it happen to me yet.

ok this is possible but very rare if your motor is low on oil when you ride a long wheelie then all the oil is to far back in the motor to get to the oil pump now that could be what happend to dudes crapper so just keep an eye on that sight glass and ride with your grab bar an inch from the ground as long as you want lol

yeah I clean my fci periodicaly and i've found oil in it so to fix it i put a longer hose on the adapter that came with the fci and capped the hose with a crank breather and zip tied it to the frame and then i put a a bolt where it used to go in the intake and wrapped it in nylon tape so it wouldn't suck and its good. no oil since
