he is saying that he couldnt get his map right, which is one of he first people i have heard of doing that ( maybe elelvation?) and you will never get a true tune with a powercommander and a dyno, as they have to dyno all the throttle % and rpms

so power commander is harder to get the maps right, than the dynatek? Which one you recommend me getting?

is a pc3 or pc5 a must nope mine sits in the tool box
Curious what kind of elevation you are at?
I'm also curious how much difference there really is in the "amount" of range of adjustment between those two controllers?
I have thought about getting a PCV and trying some maps, and if that didn't work, just adding the AutoTune. But I have also thought about just saving some money and using "carb logic tuning" with a Dynatek or similar controller.
I've actually been trying to compare the carb logic fuel controllers, and put a thread up about it... but it's been pretty dead.

I fitted a jardine exhaust and the FCI as a fuel controler I used a motoworks FMI that uses basic carb settings and could not be happier, I left the unit hanging out from under the seat and could adjust on the move till I was happy then did a few flat out runs and plug chops the quad has never run so good

dynatek hands down i have cams, intake k&n, dmc duel ex, rev box mine, timing done few other mods runs 49.8hp the thing very nice, the power commander was just way to much playing around the buttons didnt work right but you only have +10% to -10% on the pc3 buttons, the dynatek has the 3 base maps and 1 zeroed out and +20% to -20% on the nlow mid and high its easy to dial it in, if you just want to put on a controler with out messing around or spending a fortune on dyno's go with a dynatek or similare, I found the kfx fi is very tempermental if its not right can hurt perfomance quite a lot as i said i played with the pc3 for 2 months and never got the map right just got sick of it, since i put on the dynatek on once i dial it in 30mins i have not touched it since i love just how easy it was to use!

Hot and low altitude...
Rich and richer...
I bet the PC maps you were trying to use were just richer for your application than you could adjust out at the buttons on the Dynojet.
I have decided once and for all that I am NOT going Dynojet unless I go PC5.
PC5 because it give me the option of AutoTune (but at a big cost though)
As I have said, I have been trying to compare all of the carb-logic type tuners... ones that don't use a PC or maps.
I was trying to decide between button type or screwdriver type...
Only Dynatek and Dobek don't use buttons.
The buttons seem like they would be easier to tune with on the fly (while moving) but possibly less reliable down the road.

The reason I didnt go the dynotec route was I thought water could easily get into the unit through the holes but not having never seen one in the flesh I dont know if thats a possiblility, still loving the motoworks
