The front one is a bit of a bitch to get off for the first time. It depends how they put it back on when they replaced it. If they used an impact, you'll probably have to use one to get it off. The rear one is easy, but you have to take the wheel and wheel hub off to get it off the axle (I think?). Big socket for the front, 26mm, if I recall correctly?

13/39 + Big 3... LOL...

I tried 13/38 and it felt like it was ripping my arms off... very tiring to ride aggressive. Fine for casual riding.

My sickly KFX has enough power to pull 15/38 fine.
And you can always drop to 15/39 if you think it is too much of a jump from where you were.

If I were you, I'd by plain jane sprockets, and not the aluminum or supposed to wear forever ones.

Just borrow an impact (cordless will do) and a torque wrench if you don't have one.
Flatten the washer on the front sprocket, loosen bolt with impact.
Lift rear, remove left tire, remove sprocket hub bolts.
Put stuff back on and torque it down to spec with the torque wrench.
Don't forget to bend the washer back on the front!!!

You'll need to add a link or two...

How hard is it to put the sprockets on by yourself? I never did it before and i don't want to have to take it to a dealer because the closest one to me is like a 2 hour drive.
you'll have to lengthen your chain a bit... if you go smaller front like to a 13 tooth you'll need to shorten your chain length with a chain breaker...

You won't need to shorten or lengthen the chain. I have run 13,14,and 15 fronts, in combo with 36, 37, and 38 rears and never needed to add or lose a link from the chain. There is plenty of adjustment in the tensioner. The only problem I have, is that with a 15/38 my paddles will rub slightly on my nerf bars. The GNCC's clear no problem though. I run a 15/37 combo most of the time to get a bit more top end, but still have plenty of bottom end torque.

I'm thinking about later running 15/39 with 21" rear tires.

Like 21" GNCC's or 21" Kendas.

Sorry... I just wouldn't...

I'll try to look around tonight and see if I can find you a steel.
What do you want?
37? 36?

Do yourself a huge favor, and stay the fuck away from the aluminum sprockets.

There are few parts on the entire machine that are subjected to the amount of stress and wear that the sprockets are, to make them out of ALUMINUM to save fractions of a pound on the overall weight is retarded. Whoever's idea it was to design aluminum sprockets for high HP sport quads should be fired.
