pc3 or pc5

going to buy either one next payday, i've seen them new on ebay for 279 for the 3 and 304 for the 5, since the price is close i'm not sure what to get, common sense is get the newer version, but what do you guys think? if i could find a used pc3 that would be great then maybe i could get a fci also i just have a dasa right now. thanks brian
