clutch cover

ok i bought a mod quad clutch cover and the stock gasket is diff and does not seal the top edge . would it be ok to use a sealer like moto seal or sillicon rtv ? in stead

if it were me Id just go to the dealer and pick up a gasket real quick. Its prolly gonna be like 6 bucks, ive never been a fan of gasket makers but they do work, If do decide that you don't want to get a gasket, you can use like a yamabond or similar, just make sure you put it on the cover and let it set up for about 3 min, then put it on, that way it adds some thickness to it. As long as you don't run ATF in it, you'll be fine. For some reason Automatic Tranny fluid eats that shit.
