I have a couple questions

First off I'm having a major issue right now. I went riding this weekend and I lost about all my oil. I found that the problem is the clutch cover gasket. The guy that had the quad before me had a reckloose clutch in it but he took it out the night before he sold it to me so now its leaking oil out of there real bad. So, any how I was wondering where to get a gasket and what the torque specs are for the bolts on the cover? Also, I was looking at my stock intake and noticed there are wires going into it and I was wondering what this is and is it needed and is it in the aftermarket intakes?

I believe the wires you are talking about is the intake sensor. Just call you local kawi dealer and order a new gasket. not sure on the torque specs. Just untill it tight just dont over tighten I guess.

Clutch cover bolts are 87 in/lbs. (7.25 ft/lbs) according to the service manual.

Like 450speed said, the only wire I can think of going into the intake would be the inlet temp sensor. And it is definitely needed, as it adjusts the A/F for intake air temp. I broke mine once, and it ran like a bucket of shit until I replaced it. They default to 80 somethin degrees F if the sensor fails. It was winter here when I broke it, so it was usually only a few degrees above zero (32F, maybe riding around 40F?). It was popping and running like shit up top, because the cooler air (more of it) caused it to run lean. All aftermarket intakes will have some provision for mounting this sensor, whether it be in the intake tube, or the air box.

Thanks guys for the help. Can some one with an aftermarket intake take a picture of the intake temp. sensor and show me so I can see where it is located on them? Cause I need to relocate mine because I'm having a problem with it where it is now.

You can put it anywhere you want....It doesn't HAVE to be in the tube, you just don't want it by the exhaust.

FCI it is in the tube about the same place as stock...... Fuelatv it mounts on the bracket next to the filter.
