I clean my filter after every ride. the dirt gets in around where your filter presses up against the air box, this happened with the factory filter and a UNI

the front part on the intake on my stock one was broke off. It looked like it was apoxyed on and the apoxy broke away.

I was shocked after taking the stock filter off recently how much dirt got past it. Probably looks about the same as that pic.
