FCI Intake

This is a discussion on FCI Intake within the Engine/EFI/Drivetrain forums, part of the KFX450 Performance category; I talked to Garret at FCI and he said the new intakes will be out on thursday. He said 310.00 for intake and air box....

Well I hope that date sticks. Looking forward to seeing some numbers posted from anyone who buys one. Glad there is another option out there and I hope it lives up to the hype.

I still have not bought an intake it is the last piece of the big 3 I need. Waiting to get some real world feedback. At that price it is only $20 bucks off from FuelATV's price so it is all about getting the best bang for my buck if you know what I mean.

How about some pics of the kit. With and w/o airbox. What is the price without the airbox or is it only available with box?

Pics are meaningless...want the real deal...intake shipped, installed and dyno'd on someone other than FCI's quad..2HP extra for $235 is a steal that people would jump at but it's been a long wait and at this topic is not worth the thread bandwidth... Ship it to me, i'll pay the $230 plus the $200 or so dyno charge just to bring this to closure.

Where is the dyno comparison that was promised quite some time ago? There is a claim of a HP increase but there is no data to confirm. I would also like to see the intakes dynoed without the air filters just to see what the difference is actually in the intakes designs. The air filter can make as much difference as the dyno charts that have been posted to date. This data has to be available or the aftermarket company is not doing their homework. There are far too many aftermarket companies out there that make the investment in new product tooling and when the production version is produced the actual power increase is not there. Do you think they are going to just write off this investment cost? Where are their airflow test numbers? For the price they are charging for these intakes (the actual parts cost is minimal), there should be a ton of R & D that is being covered. Lets see the data.
