Don't buy Dr.D!

I used to own a KFX400 that I installed a Dr.D exhaust on, and people were pretty impressed with the power that it put out. This year, after reading the many possitive theads on the Jardine RT-99, I was wavering between the RT-99 and the Dr.D. After reading the August Dirtwheels issue and reading on here what Gerrett of Fuel Customs and what irishkfx400 said about the Dr.D, I decided to spend extra $ and go with the Dr.D.

Now I wish I haden't. When I installed it, it was missing certain hardware to make it fit properly as I posted under "Dr.D exhaust owners". I've called Dubach Racing at least 7 times now, and each time I talked to the same lady about this and got nowhere. At first, she told me to contact my dealer. Why would I contact my dealer? This is a Dubach Racing problem, not a local dealer problem. Kenneth from KBMotorsports even tried to help me out by talking to her, but was able to get nowhere with her. Thanks anyhow, Kenneth. I appreciate your help. I also went to there website and submitted a comment about this to their technical department, but recieved no reply.

I tried calling one more time and talked to the same lady. She took my name and phone number and said she'd handle it the following day, and as I figured, she didn't call me back.

There are other great exhausts out there other than Dr.D. You can get a Jardine RT-99 from KBMotorsports for a lot cheaper. Another member on this site, "Brian", also had a Dr.D with the same problem I did. Now, he has a Dasa which he likes better.

If I remember right, the spacer on my 400 was a nice solid piece of aluminum. The one I currently made for my 450 is just a cut off steel pipe with two washers on each end, and I'm wondering how it'll handle landing hard on some jumps. At least I'm using a grade 8.8 bolt.

Sorry to get so detailed about this, but in closing, I just peeled the Dr.D sticker off my muffler out of embarrasment and not wanting to advertise their products. I may buy a different exhaust in the future. If I do, then I'll take this one, put it at the end of a jump and land on it several times, then cruple it up and throw it away.

Cool. I haven't heard much about TDC until lately. I'm glad they're treating you well. I hope they make great, smooth horsepower. Maybe this will be the next exhaust I'll get.

well TDC is a new company, they came about and we ended up hooking up with them at a race and they started sponsoring my buddy Kody Evans who runs in the pro class on the west coast in the DWT and ITP series. I ended up getting one and i sold my dasa, If i describe it I would say its hard hitting, but smooth, hard hitting because it pulls like a SOB out of the corner and off the line, but its smooth because that power is there throught the whole power band. I love the pipes . I became a dealer for them because of the way Dustin acts, he has a lot of guts and determination considering he started up his company in a very established market in the worst possible market condition times. if your in the market for a new exhaust shoot me a pm or give me a call 480-217-9192 Adam

DrD spent the customer service money on the dirtwheels advertising.

It's obviously not a superior piece.
But people will buy it if they see it in dirtwheels.

Myself, I can't believe myself on how deeply sold I am on Jardine Exhaust.
I'm typically not like this, something remarkable would have to happen to make me stray to another exhaust company.

if you keep getting the same lady when you call you should ask for a supervisor or a manager. i dont get it but when i call some place for some reason i will get what i want. call them one more time and dont give anyone time to talk tell them that you bought a exhaust and all the hardware did not show up and you would appreciate it if they send the hardware. if you would like i will call and get the hardware for you . send me an IM. give me your address. and i will have it send from them to you.

I took your advice and called one more time and asked for her supervisor. She asked in what regards, and I told her about the missing parts that I need. She didn't connect me with her supervisor, but this turned out to be the best conversation I had with her yet.

She took all the needed info (name, address, ATV, etc.) and said they'll send the parts to me. This should've happened on the first phone call.

I still don't believe her until I actually recieve the parts. If I don't recieve them, then I'll demand to talk to her supervisor about it.

Thanks for the advice and for offering to help. I'll keep you all posted if I recieve the parts.
