I run the motion pro and love it. I went from dirt bikes to quad so it feels normal to me and I feel i can hang on better

Ditto...............I would say it all comes down to personal preference.
Motocross guy here as well. Could not stand thumb throttle.

Yes, I think it will work.
Also, it is important to understand that a throttle's performance greatly depends on it's cam/reel size.
It's hard to be fair about impressions you get from them without that knowledge.
The larger the cam/reel is, the faster the end result at the carb/t-body is going to be, with less movement at the throttle.
You will sometimes see this referred to in fractions of a turn from closed to full throttle.
Delivery on the KFX is already pretty quick with the stock thumb cam/reel, EFI, and power on tap.
If you convert to a twist with a larger cam/reel, it's going to be a hand full.
Less motion will = more throttle opening.
Myself, I like both throttle types.
It is annoying going from one to the other if you ride both though.
But so is going from a manual to an auto.

Twist throttles work good on bikes b/c you dont have to lean off the bike to corner it.. a quad you do. I rode one and other than the hanging on while jumping part, makeing left hand corners nearly pinned the throttle if I wasnt careful
